Terms of Use
These Terms of Use outline the rights and obligations of users of the Otaru Tourism Photo Library Image Download System (hereinafter referred to as the "System"), which is provided by the Tourism Promotion Office. Please read the following terms carefully before using the System. By using the System, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
Important Permission / Prohibition

1. This system can be used once the membership registration process is complete. If any of the information provided during registration changes, please correct and update it. This Office reserves the right to cancel membership if a member makes a false declaration at the time of registration or if there are any other reasons that this Office deems inappropriate for membership.
2. This service is free of charge. Please send us your deliverables using the images from this System.
3. You will be able to use the software once you receive the notification granting you permission to download it. The time limit is 7 days.
4. The images should be approximately 1-3 MB in size and be about A5 size at 300 dpi resolution. This size may vary depending on the image.
5. Images may only be used for the purpose for which they were submitted. If you wish to use a previously registered image for a different purpose, you must submit a new application.
6. Depending on the purpose, we may not permit use, or we may impose conditions. Please describe the purpose in as much detail as possible. (For example, the media used, how the image is layed out, etc.)
(Prohibitions)

2. No cropping or other modification of the provided image data is allowed.
3. You may not use derivative works, including photographs, as the primary content for products such as postcards, calendars, photo books, magazine covers, and posters.
4. Photographic materials may not be used for services provided to third parties, such as greeting cards, photo book, or template download services; sample materials for application software; or standby screens for cell phones or PCs.
5. This Office reserves the licensing rights for the use of the images. However, we do not hold any portraits, trademarks, or patent rights related to the people, buildings, or places included in the photographic materials. Please note that some content may require separate permission from the target facility. In the unlikely event of a dispute over these rights or a dispute with a third party arising from the use of the content, this Office shall assume no responsibility whatsoever.
6. If the license and prohibitions are violated, the licensed right of use will be terminated immediately and without notice.
